Purpose

Deploys are automatic, boring, and reversible.

Setup (once per tool)

  1. Vercel → Add New → Project → import the GitHub repo into the [TEAM] team.

  2. Framework preset: Next.js; root directory if monorepo.

  3. Environment variables (02.04): add for Production and Preview separately; Preview uses the dev Supabase project.

  4. Enable "Automatically expose System Environment Variables"; set NEXT_PUBLIC_APP_VERSION from the release.

  5. Domains per 06.03.

  6. Protect previews: Settings → Deployment Protection → Vercel Authentication for previews.

Daily

  • Push a branch → preview deploy on the PR. Merge to main → production deploy.

  • Watch the deploy in Vercel; a failed build blocks the merge (checks required on the PR).

  • After a production deploy, the author smoke-tests the main flow and posts "deployed vX.Y.Z" in #dev.
