Purpose
Everyone has the right tool, on the right plan, under the right account.
The standard
Claude Code (CLI, in Cursor's terminal or standalone) — primary coding agent.
Cursor — editor with inline AI; see 05.03 for when to use which.
Claude.ai / API — chat, research, and app integrations; API keys per project via
[TEAM: secret manager].Plans: developers doing daily agentic work get a Claude Max seat (flat cost, far cheaper than API at heavy use). Occasional users get Pro. API keys only for tools that call Claude programmatically.
Accounts are work accounts; keys are never shared between people.
Anything else (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) requires approval via 02.05 and must pass 05.07.
Procedure — getting set up
Request a seat in #dev; owner (Matt) assigns; install per 00.03; read 05.02 and 05.07 before first use.
