Purpose

Cursor and Claude Code overlap; use each for what it's best at.

The standard

  • Cursor inline (Tab / Cmd+K) — small edits, renames, quick refactors while you're already in the file.

  • Cursor chat — questions about the file you're looking at.

  • Claude Code — multi-file changes, anything that needs to run commands or tests, planning, debugging across the repo.

  • .cursor/rules/*.mdc committed per repo, mirroring CLAUDE.md (keep both short; the wiki is the source of truth).

  • Same privacy rules as 05.07 apply; enable "Privacy mode" in Cursor settings.

  • Keep Cursor pointed at the WSL folder so both tools see the same files.
