Purpose

Tools rely on models being structured predictably.

The standard

  • Family naming: [TEAM: prefix]_Category_Description_Size (01.05); type names describe the variant, not the size when size is parametric.

  • Shared parameters from the team file only; GUIDs never recreated. Parameter naming [TEAM: prefix]_Group_Name with units in the name where ambiguous.

  • Curtain wall panels/mullions carry [TEAM]_PanelId, [TEAM]_SystemType matching the registry schema (09.04) so Rhino ↔ Revit round-trips align.

  • Worksets per discipline; project base point and survey point set before any tool run; internal origin shared with Rhino (10.07).

  • Tools validate these conventions on launch and warn instead of proceeding silently.
