Purpose

Releases are reproducible and installable without hand-copying DLLs.

The standard

  • CI (Windows runner) builds every configuration on PR; release builds on tag (03.06).

  • Installer built with [TEAM: Inno Setup / WiX] from installer/; installs per-user to %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\<year>\ and writes the .addin for each supported year.

  • Code-signing certificate [TEAM: issuer] stored in the vault; CI signs DLLs and the installer.

  • Installer and checksums attached to the GitHub Release; catalog page updated with the version.

Procedure — release

  1. Merge release PR bumping version. 2. Tag vX.Y.Z. 3. CI builds, signs, uploads installer. 4. Owner installs on a clean machine/VM and runs the test checklist. 5. Publish the release; announce (13.02); distribute per 06.07.
